The Charlotte Hornets head to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Tuesday night at 10:35pm. The Hornets have lost 13 out of 15 to drop to 25-33 and went from what looked to be a lock to make the playoffs to being in 12th place and on the outside looking in. The Lakers have long been out of the playoff race and are currently 19-41 and have lost four in a row.
The Hornets beat the Lakers in their only other matchup this year, 117-113 back in late December. The game was back and fourth and the Hornets needed a strong fourth quarter to nab the win. This was when both teams were playing a lot better, as the Hornets were three games over at the win and the Lakers were “only” nine games under.

The Lakers haven’t been playing well lately, but neither have the Hornets. Charlotte has lost 13 of 15 and have been blown out in many. They have been downright terrible against losing teams, not covering seven of eight. There is some optimism in La La Land, and I think at the very least the Lakers will put forth their best effort. I think that will be enough against this Hornet team who has seemed to have given up on the playoffs.
The Lakers vs Hornets live streaming will be broacast on TV: Spectrum SportsNet, NBA TV.
