Lionel Messi Suspended for 4 Official Matches and Fined CHF 10,000

Lionel Messi Suspended: After finding Messi being guilty against Chile team on 23rd March World Cup Qualifier match, The FIFA Disciplinary committee took a strong action against him. In the application of article 77 a) and 108 of FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) he found guilty of violating 57 of the FDC by having insulting words against the assistant referee during Argentina vs Chile football match.

The FDC after analyzing the incident concluded by suspending Lionel Messi for the four Official matches and fined CHF 10,000. The sanction is coming from today, hence he will not play in Bolivia vs Argentina FIFA 2018 Qualifier match.

The FDC previously did same when such incidents happened against match referees when players lose their coolness. They also sent an official notification to the team management and Messi regarding suspension and fine.
