In the 1st day of test match 2 of India vs West Indies 2019, the team, West Indies lost five wickets in the final session of their first innings at stumps. India was trailed by 108 runs by the opponent’s team. To put India in a leading position Ishant Sharma took a stand on and five wickets were taken on day three. At 203, the Indian team took a leap up to make 297.

Roston Chase (48 off 74), John Campbell (23 off 30), Daren BRAVO (18 of 27), Shai Hope (24 off 65) and Shimron Hetmyer (35 off 47) were the players to start over the match with a promising hit. They were held guilty to throw off the hit away and help India to regain.

India started the match with a bolt at 203 for six which went on till 297 as a fighting jack with duo Rajendra Jadeja as a supporter to Ishant Sharma. They both ably had the back of each other during the 60-run stand for the eighth wicket. The situations were clearly on the West Indies side too but they failed in applying the best batting skills on time.

As Ishant Sharma was on fire during the match, he made both batting and balling side difficult for the other team to survive. His reckless performance made the audience of the opposite team furious. Their mind became frustrating in between the first session and his dogged style in the mid sessions troubled the opposition. His quality skills made a brilliant spell on the match, which included high potential deliveries cross seam.

At tea time, West Indies struggled at 82 for three. Hardly scoring a half-century at first, Shamarh Brooks, the debutant got out by Jadeja. The other opener batsmen too got dismissed. Jadeja was the last to finish off until lunch hours.

He skilled fully showed his potential for the team while Rishabh failed for the same. He was found guilty of playing the ball harshly as skipper Jason smoothly catches the ball at regulation. And this brittle fail left the team 2017 for seven.

Ishant and Jadeja have been fighting sensibly after all these failing to save the team. Meanwhile, maturity expected from Jadeja was shown by Ishant who handled the comings from Roach and Gabriel. And finally, this test match pacer too got dismissed at 31 in the 90th over by Gabriel’s slow ball.

Shami, though he joined Jadeja couldn’t last after a ball. Jadeja too showed some up-level games during the match while collecting partners not so suitable, completed his 11th half-century with a flourishing style at the end putting the team into a firm place.
