With the beginning of the second innings, India lost its first wicket in the form of Mayank Agarwal who was declared out by LBW but TV replays don’t show anything like this and the players didn’t also go for a review.
After Agarwal, KL Rahul and Pujara played for the Indian team with a combined contribution of 43 runs which took the team forward. Rahul lost his wicket while running for runs, he went across his stumps while going for a sweep which exposed the stumps giving the opposition a great chance.
The first inning of Indian Cricket Team was worth appreciation considering the conditions, the team scored 75 runs and by lunchtime on the third day, the score reached 89. At the opening of the third day, India had a score of 14 runs without any loss in their second innings.
West Indies also showed fairly decent gameplay, with resuming at 189 for eight, the duo of Holder and Miguel Cummins played together for 103 balls for a partnership of 41 runs. This was important for the West Indies due to the fact that it took the team closer to the score of the visitors.
Holder with his experience, sort of guided Cummins so that they can reach as close as possible to the Indian score. Holder contributed very important 39 runs out of 65 balls while Cummins was on the other side of the crease supporting his partner.
