MBOSE HSSLC Result:Â The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is responsible for conducting the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination in the state of Meghalaya. HSSLC is the equivalent of the 12th grade examination in India. The HSSLC examination is conducted in March every year, and the examination results are usually declared in May or June. Around 5 lakh students appear for Meghalaya Board HSSLC board exam every year.
The syllabus for the MBOSE HSSLC examination is designed by the MBOSE Board and is based on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus. MBOSE Controller of Examination Laloo releases a press release every year asking, “All the Head of the Institutions/Officers-in-Charge of the MBOSE HSSLC Examination Centres are requested to collect the Result Booklets from MBOSE Office, Tura/Shillong and Jowai MBOSE Cell after the declaration of result”.

The legislation for the setting up of the Meghalaya Board of School Education to regulate, supervise and control school education in the State of Meghalaya came into force on 25th September, 1973 under the Meghalaya Board of School Education Act, 1973 (Meghalaya Act 10, 1973). The Board was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Late Captain WA Sangma on 19th October, 1973 in the State Central Library Auditorium, Shillong.
