Vivo has rolled out the V60 in India, slotting it into the mid-premium range with a price starting at ₹36,999. The phone aims squarely at photography enthusiasts, packing a telephoto zoom lens, Zeiss imaging features, and a massive 6,500mAh battery.
Photography Takes Center Stage
The Vivo V60 isn’t trying to be a gaming powerhouse. Instead, Vivo is leaning into cameras as its main selling point. The handset comes with a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
Up front, selfies and video calls are handled by a 50MP camera. Vivo’s collaboration with Zeiss brings dedicated imaging modes—Natural, Vivid, Textured, and Stage Mode—designed to give users more control over how their pictures look.
The telephoto lens supports focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 100mm, opening up strong portrait and zooming options. Video recording is supported at 4K/30fps across the main, telephoto, and front cameras.
Design and Durability
The phone measures 7.5mm in thickness and weighs 203 grams, putting it on the slimmer side for a device with a huge battery. It features a frosted glass back paired with a plastic frame.
Buyers get three color options: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Grey. Vivo has added Diamond Shield Glass on the front and given the V60 an IP68 and IP69 rating, which means it can survive dust, splashes, and even up to 120 minutes underwater at a depth of 1.5 meters.
For everyday use, that’s about as durable as it gets in this price range.
Display and Audio Experience
The front is dominated by a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. HDR streaming support is included for Netflix and other platforms, making it a solid pick for binge-watchers.
Stereo speakers are fitted for audio playback. Vivo is pushing this phone as much for media consumption as for photography, giving it the kind of screen and sound setup people usually expect in pricier flagships.
Performance and Software
Under the hood sits the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Benchmarks put it around 983,833 points on AnTuTu and 1,233/3,363 on Geekbench single and multi-core tests. That’s strong mid-tier performance, more than enough for everyday tasks and moderate gaming.
The phone runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Vivo promises four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, which is on par with the update commitments made by bigger Android rivals.
AI tools are a highlight here. The OS includes AI eraser, reflection remover, and image expander, while Google’s Gemini AI and Circle to Search are also baked in.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is a major selling point. The V60 packs a 6,500mAh battery that Vivo claims can last up to two days on moderate usage. That’s one of the biggest batteries in this segment.
Charging isn’t slow either. With 90W wired fast charging, the phone can go from zero to full in about 50–55 minutes. That makes it practical for heavy users who don’t want to worry about running out of juice mid-day.
Positioned Against Rivals
The V60 sits in the sub-₹40,000 bracket, where competition is fierce. It goes up against phones like the OnePlus 12R, iQOO Neo 9 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A55.
What sets it apart is the telephoto zoom and portrait photography chops. Most rivals in this range still skip dedicated telephoto lenses, relying only on digital zoom. Vivo is betting that serious camera users will pick the V60 over gaming-oriented devices.
