Adidas has announced a multi-year partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, signaling the sportswear giant’s return to motorsport. The collaboration, spanning the 2025 season and beyond, promises innovative apparel, footwear, and accessories for both team members and fans, along with exclusive limited-edition releases.

Under this partnership, Adidas will design custom team kits tailored to the unique needs of each Mercedes-AMG Petronas team member, from drivers to support staff. These kits will also be available to fans, merging the high-performance ethos of F1 with Adidas’ signature style. Beyond the track, the collaboration extends to lifestyle products aimed at engaging a new generation of motorsport enthusiasts.

Several limited-edition drops are planned throughout the year, blending Adidas’ streetwear appeal with the thrill of F1. Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, emphasized the cultural and commercial significance of this move. “Interest in Formula 1 is soaring, reaching diverse audiences and influencing both sport and street culture. This partnership allows us to introduce the Three Stripes to a whole new arena, uniting speed, innovation, and performance on the track while reshaping fan engagement off it,” said Gulden.

Mercedes-AMG Petronas CEO and Team Principal Toto Wolff views the partnership as a pivotal moment. “Adidas is a brand synonymous with peak performance and sophistication. He further underscored the alignment of both brands’ commitment to innovation, style, and winning spirit.

For Richard Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer of Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the collaboration is not just about apparel. “Performance is our core value. Adidas shares this philosophy, making this partnership an exciting opportunity to elevate our approach to teamwear and fanwear. Together, we’ll push boundaries on and off the track,” Sanders stated.
