WWE 2K25 is already packing a massive roster with 300 names from wrestling’s past and present, but the game’s newly revealed season pass is set to take things even further. With NXT talent, former AEW stars, and legendary wrestlers from the ‘80s making their way into the game, fans are in for a serious treat.
A Roster That Just Keeps Growing
The base game of WWE 2K25 is launching with an already impressive selection of 300 wrestlers. That alone is enough to make this one of the most content-packed WWE games in recent memory. But for those who want even more, the season pass is bringing a fresh wave of wrestlers across five different DLC packs, rolling out from May through November 2025.
The first drop, the New Wave Pack, arrives in May and introduces NXT’s rising stars Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, along with TNA’s Motor City Machine Guns—Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. But that’s just the start.
In June, the Dunk & Destruction Pack will mix things up with the monstrous Abyss, the towering Great Khali, and a trio of NBA players whose names are still under wraps.
July’s Fearless Pack delivers some hard-hitting additions, including New Jack, Jordynne Grace, Penta, and the iconic Bull Nakano.
For Attitude Era fans, September’s Attitude Era Superstars Pack brings Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, D’Lo Brown, Victoria, and Mark Henry into the fold.
And for old-school wrestling enthusiasts, November’s Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack will transport players back to the ‘80s with the first-ever appearance of Jesse “The Body” Ventura, alongside Paul “Mr. Wonderful” Orndorff, Tito Santana, Junk Yard Dog, and Sid Justice.
AEW Names Crossing Over into WWE 2K25
One of the biggest surprises in this year’s DLC lineup is the addition of former AEW stars. Penta, one of AEW’s most dynamic luchadors, will be making his WWE 2K debut in the Fearless Pack. But he’s not the only one making the jump.
Billy Gunn, who spent years as part of AEW’s roster, is also back in a WWE game, joining his New Age Outlaws teammate Road Dogg in the Attitude Era Superstars Pack. Adding to the nostalgia, Mark Henry, another high-profile figure from AEW’s early days, will also be returning.
This isn’t the first time wrestlers have jumped between companies, but it’s still a rare sight to see former AEW talent featured in a WWE-licensed video game so soon after competing elsewhere.
Guest Stars and Surprise Additions
Beyond the wrestling legends and AEW crossovers, WWE 2K25 is also throwing in some unexpected surprises.
- Each of the first three DLC packs will include at least one special celebrity guest, though their identities are still a mystery.
- The Dunk & Destruction Pack will introduce three NBA players, a crossover that mirrors WWE’s history of bringing in basketball stars like Shaquille O’Neal and Dennis Rodman in past games.
Guest characters have been a staple in WWE 2K games, and while some may seem like odd choices at first, they often bring a fun change of pace to the gameplay.
How to Get the Season Pass
For those who want every single addition, the WWE 2K25 season pass is included with two special editions of the game:
- The Deadman Edition, centered around The Undertaker
- The Bloodline Edition, which focuses on some of Roman Reigns’ biggest matches
Both of these digital editions drop on March 7, 2025. The standard edition of the game follows a week later, on March 14, 2025, with players needing to buy the season pass separately if they want access to all the extra content.
