Sunrisers Hyderabad, earlier known as Deccan Chargers, has faced a big blow with the suspension of Shakib Al Hasan from all forms of cricket. Shakib Al Hasan was banned by ICC as he failed to report approaches by a bookie to the ICC. ICC’s rule against corruption states that all the contracted players need to approach ICC ACU (anti-corruption unit) with details of bookies and any offers they might have received in order to fight the increasing cricket betting through bookies getting in touch with players.

Shakib was like a huge asset for his national team as well as the IPL franchisee and with him confirmed of a 2 year suspension, Sunrisers would be looking for a worthy successor when they go in auctions on 19th December.

- Shimron Hetmeyer : Shimron Hetmeyer rose to fame with back to back performances in his initial series as an international cricketer and has been making his name noticed in T20 cricket. He was bought by RCB, however, he failed to impress in IPL and now the rumors are rift that he might be released by RCB.
With his skills and experience, Hetmeyer could be a great asset for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has the ability to hit big and change the course of a game in a matter of few overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be looking to target this west indian when the auction hammer gets into auctions in Kolkata in December.
- Alex Hales : The England player has been in red hot form this year and played a huge hand in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League. In BPL, Hales had 304 runs at an average of over 42 and a strike rate of 167. His runs included a century and a couple of half centuries.
Alex Hales was unsold in 2019 auctions. One of the reasons behind him being unsold was the fact that England players were not available for the whole season as they left the tournament midway to prepare for the World Cup. However, with English summer season starting in July next year, the players will be available for the entire season and Alex Hales could attract a nice bid.
- Jason Holder : Jason holder is a like-for-like replacement for Shakib Al Hasan. With his all round performance, Jason Holder has proven himself over the years for his national side. Although he has been sacked as the national team captain, he still has the experience and can help the captain at crucial moments. Also, he brings in a lot of talent as a bowler and batsman and could prove to be a true match winner for the Hyderabadi franchisee.
